160 x 140 cm, Oil on canvas
Mitkov Gallery is pleased to present the paintings in the MORNING category. All works are brimming with the immense vigour the morning hours bring us.
The subjects are realistic, ranging from a distant harbour to a beautiful ballerina reading a book by the window offering a view of London's Big Ben. The morning is what gives us hope a good day lies ahead. It is the new beginning, the positivity-filled time of day and the end of a crazy night.
Pavel Mitkov embraces the theme and renders it through his own colour sense. What matters the most for the artist is that you, the viewers, are touched by those morning sunrays that will make you happier. The paintings are mesmerizing, with a touch of a child's innocence, which is so hard to find in today's life.
Now that we are entering the Age of Aquarius, the morning is what best reflects people's wishes for a better life!
The most fascinating period is from 2012 on. Mitkov highlights two particular dates in it: 21.12.2012, supposedly the end of the world, and 10.02.2013, the beginning of the Age of Aquarius and the Chinese New Year. According to the artist, that was the time when the mankind chose its future 2000-year cycle and the good prevailed. Always positive, always filled with a lot of energy, Mitkov turned his latest period into a life mission. It is not about just composing paintings but rather about creating and putting enormous love into canvases. The painter believes a painting can make a real difference in a man’s life.
